Thrivent Builds:  Thrivent Builds has partnered with Cape Area Habitat to provide $46,000+ in funding for an additional home in 2006!  Working along with local Thrivent Chapters and area Lutheran congregations, Cape Area Habitat will build a home on Centennial drive this summer.  Praise God for Thrivent!

Bank of America:  The Bank of America has generously provided the Cape Area Habitat with a $6400 grant to continue building families and homes in the Cape community.  Thank You Bank of America!

 

To continue to meet the needs of affordable housing in Cape Area we need your help.  To meet our goals, we seek donations of not only funds but also volunteer time, materials from the construction community, miscellaneous items and all types of professional assistance.

We will be raising more than half a million dollars to build the houses and to plan for the future.  Cash donations are greatly appreciated.  To donate by mail, please make your check out to Cape Area Habitat and mail to:

On average, it takes the following in order to build one Cape Area Habitat home:

$7,000 for walls, doors and windows
$3,000 for roof trusses and shingles
$2,000 for kitchen cabinets and tops
$1,500 for flooring
$1,000 for drywall and paint
$750 for insulation
$500 for landscaping
2,500 to 3,000 hours of volunteer labor
